Since 2004, our team at Swiss Labs Machine & Engineering, Inc. has been providing high-quality screw machining services. We work with industrial clients to create innovative solutions to manufacturing challenges, and our company is ISO 9001:2015 certified to produce premium screw machined parts for industries ranging from aerospace to medical and specialty work. Our capabilities include screwing and turning operations with CNC machinery, sourcing raw materials, and finishing goods.

CNC Lathes

CNC Lathe

We specialize in developing and supplying high-quality screw machined components with our in-house production equipment. Our team uses Swiss-type turning centers, and our capabilities include live tooling, multi-angle drilling, and back-working. We use advanced CNC machinery with up to ten axes. By using our incredibly precise machinery, we can produce goods within tight tolerances at high velocities for fast, accurate order fulfillment that stays within our clients’ budgets.

Our facility is equipped with the following CNC lathes:

  • Citizen-Cincom L20 Type V and VII both featuring 13/16″ Stock Capacity
  • Citizen-Cincom L32 Type XII featuring 1 1/2″ Stock Capacity
  • Citizen-Cincom L-12 Type VII featuring 1/2″ Stock Capacity

Raw Materials

We work with the following materials to suit the needs of various projects:

Aluminum

Aluminum

Aluminum is a strong, lightweight metal that can be used across multiple industries. The material is highly machinable, easy to work with, and resists corrosion. It can also conduct electricity and heat.

Beryllium Copper

Beryllium Copper

Beryllium copper is a high-strength alloy that is also non-sparking and non-magnetic. The material is easy to work with and form, making it an excellent choice for complex shapes. This metal is found throughout the industrial sector in measurement devices, aerospace components, and tools that can withstand hazardous or extreme environments.

Brass

Brass

Brass is a copper-zinc alloy that’s similar to bronze. The metal has good durability, conductivity, and workability characteristics. It’s also popular for consumer goods and architectural elements due to its appealing color and finish.

Copper

Copper

Copper is a soft, ductile metal that is popular for its excellent thermal and electrical conductivity characteristics. It’s used for diverse applications such as jewelry, building materials, and wiring. Copper is also highly recyclable without a loss in quality, making it an attractive choice for green companies.

Stainless Steel

Stainless Steel

Different grades of stainless steel possess different favorable characteristics for manufacturing and end-use scenarios. All grades of stainless steel feature strength, corrosion resistance, and an appealing surface finish. Our technicians can help you choose the right grade of stainless steel for your project.

Post Machining

Along with our CNC machining capabilities, our team provides extensive finishing services. These include:

Plating

  • Plating. Plating processes cover workpieces with a thin layer of metal. Plating can protect corrosion-vulnerable metals with a layer of resistant materials. This is an excellent technique for cost-efficient production or finishing building materials with an appealing metal finish.
  • Passivation. Passivation is a chemical process that removes contaminants and free irons from workpieces so they don’t cause future contamination or discoloration. After passivation, the workpiece will have a rust-resistant oxide layer across the surface.
  • Heat Treating. Heat treating uses controlled heating and cooling to modify the crystalline structure of a metal. Depending on the process, heat treating can enhance hardness, ductility, temperature resistance, and material strength.
  • Annealing. Annealing is a heat treatment process that improves and metal’s ductility while reducing hardness and internal stress. This allows a material to be shaped without cracking.
  • Electro-Polishing. Electro-polishing involves placing metal components into an electrolytic bath to remove contaminants, reduce surface roughness, and improve surface finish.
